Welcome to

The Adeyfield Academy

Sports Facilities

Come rain or shine, students at The Adeyfield Academy can participate in an ever increasing range of sports and activities.  We have recently secured over £20,000 of funding in conjunction with Herts Sports Partnership and are currently investing in the latest artistic gymnastics and weights and fitness equipment, as well as Quidditch and Pickleball equipment!

Astroturf Pitch

In 2021 the school invested in the installation of the latest specification artificial grass pitch, which has been accredited by the FA.  The facility can be used for a variety of sports, including football, rugby and hockey.  The pitch is also used for inter-school competitions and by a number of community groups outside of school hours.

Multi-use Games Areas

Resurfaced as part of the astro project, this area provides three top spec netball and three tennis courts and also gives the opportunity for extra curricular and community games.  Our outdoor basket ball court is used for training for both basketball and other fitness activities

Gymnasium

The gymnasium is used as our main space for indoor activities . The school has equipment such as springboards, crash mats, vaulting boxes, high jump for lessons and clubs including trampoline, gymnastics, basketball, boccia, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, fitness, archery, indoor football and athletics.

Field

Our extensive grass field provides three additional football pitches, an astroturf cricket wicket, and markings in summer for track and field athletics practise and fixtures.

Performing Arts Studio

Our Performing Arts Studio is a designated dance and fitness space. It has ceiling to floor mirrors across one wall with a ballet bar attached.  It has a small changing area, sound system and close mounted projector with laptop and Internet connection, allowing for 21st Century teaching and learning.
