Houses

Each pupil is placed in one of the five houses when they join the school and this continues throughout their career at Adeyfield. There are a number of opportunities for pupils to participate in a wide range of inter-house activities and competitions (there are at least 2 house competitions every half term). There are also positions of responsibility for the students to fill. Each form has a "house captain" and a "sports captain". The houses are Aldbury, Batchwood, Leavesden, Shenley and Westbrooke. The 5 Houses have developed their own distinctive identities through identification with their own colour; name; motto; chosen charity and engagement with inter-House competitions and assemblies.
